How does the desolation sound like? Far, far north, there was once a city, its heart suddenly starts beating as the first inhabitants arrive. The heartbeat leads you through the story, and the journey ends up in uncanny ghost town. Being a member of a research team, that travels around Europe hunting for soundscapes, having possibility of listening to some of those precious ambisonic recordings that were made in the north pole region - inspired me to translate it into this kind of sonic experience. The piece contains B-format recordings from abandoned town Pyramiden, and is constructed with the use of: electric double bass, acoustic violin (both sacreligiously processed), virtual instruments and layers of vocals, all mixed with use of IEM vst bundle and Harpex on 16 channel system.
