No matter how sophisticated a signal chain for sound processing may be, there is no getting around the primary conversion of an acoustic sound source. The 32nd Tonmeistertagung, which will take place from November 8 to 11 in Düsseldorf, will feature exclusive lavalier & shotgun microphone workshops, the ideal capture of a grand piano timbre, practical comparative studies on the characteristics of different microphones, spherical microphones, and creative work with directional characteristics.
